Presentation (English)

“My professional journey was born from a deep desire to understand the human being in all its dimensions. I am a psychologist trained in Social and Cognitive Psychology, a clinical psychoanalyst, and a specialist in Medical Neuroscience. This combination is not just a résumé; it is a way of integrating science, clinical practice, and teaching to achieve a broad vision of human behavior.

In practice, every encounter with a patient is also an encounter with the unconscious — with what is not immediately revealed but guides our choices, fears, and desires. Psychoanalysis allows me to listen to these hidden voices; cognitive psychology helps reorganize thoughts and perceptions; and neuroscience provides the biological foundation that sustains our emotions.

The result is an integrative therapy, one that does not limit itself to a single approach but seeks to understand the individual in their totality. This predisposition to unite different fields of knowledge arises from an inner restlessness: the refusal to accept superficial answers to profound questions. It is the unconscious that moves us, and within it we find both conflicts and possibilities for transformation.

My mission, whether in the clinic or in the classroom, is to promote a comprehensive understanding of human behavior — helping individuals and communities to recognize their inner processes, give meaning to suffering, and discover paths of healing and growth.” For deeper reflections on psychology, psychoanalysis, and neuroscience — and how they connect to the unconscious and therapy — visit my blog: [“Diálogos da Mente – Centro de Ajuda Terapêutica e Neuropsicociência |]
